The bulb hours is built into the bulb. When you replace the bulb, the hour meter resets to zero. I do not know if there are 3rd party sources for the bulbs with the control on them.

The service guide on this page explains to remove bulb and put new one in and goes to zero. We do not allow Stryker items to enter our facility because of their refusal to provide service manuals (clear violation of CMS guidelines = JCAHO requirements). Any company refusing to provide service manuals is automatically barred from our facility. I highly suggest your facility follow the same procedural direction.

When you are caught with no service literature for your items, you run the risk of losing your medicare reimbursements. So it is kind of critical in case you are inspected and asked for the literature as we were in out last JCAHO inspection.
