I am looking for an Owner's Manual and Parts Catalog for a John Deere 71 Flex Planter that I just purchased. I found ones that can be purchased on Ebay but I don't want to have to pay $25+ for a manual and parts catalog. I looked on Yetter but found nothing and I wasn't able to locate anything through a google search that lead to anything that I could download for free. If anyone has PDF files of these that they would be willing to share or if you know where I can locate the downloads for free online (without having to sign up for a site that might not be secure), please let me know!

It would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your help!!!

My planter is breaking seed, about every 2nd or 3rd seed.it seems to grind or break. This is with the proper suggested plates for the seed. My population is horrible after.

On the other hand, diesel engines are available in 2.5 TDI V6 and V8 3.3 TDI. 2000 audi a8 4.2 quattro.

I also need gage wheels I think, since i have trouble keeping consistent depth of the seed opener discs. Any comments? Thanks very much.

When they get worn and the springs get weak, seeds can jam under them and the plate will grind seeds. Assuming you have the 2-1/4' toolbar version, the bottom of the bar should be run about 16' above the seed so somewhere around 14-15' above the ground.

(I loaned my manual to a friend so cannot look up the proper height for the large rectangular toolbar version.) The depth cams on the units will keep the openers at the proper depth even if the bar moves up and down a little. I run my two row setup without gauge wheels and just set the stop on the hitch control lever to hold the bar at the right height. 4010Pride New User Joined: 18 May 2010 Posts: 4 Posted: Thu May 20, 2010 5:14 am Post subject: Re: John Deere 71 Flexi-Planter Manual Gentlemen, thank you all for your help.
